Dropshipping has taken the entrepreneurial world by storm, and with good reason.
This Ecommerce business model can put a nice chunk of cash in your pocket, enabling you to sell products without holding inventory. When a customer places an order, they receive it directly from the supplier.
However, there’s a crucial distinction to make when it comes to finding dropshipping suppliers: the difference between high ticket and low ticket dropshipping. With high ticket dropshipping, you focus exclusively on selling high-quality products above the $1000 mark, instead of low-ticket items under $100.
At Dropship Breakthru, we’re all about high ticket dropshipping. And to make this model work for you, you need top-notch suppliers based in the same country as your customers.
So, how do you find these suppliers in the US? It requires some market research, but don’t sweat it – we’ve got your back.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to make it as easy as possible.
This might seem like a no-brainer, but start by searching for your product online. I’ll use eBikes as an example here, but trust me when I say this – you can find a better dropshipping niche!
In this case, search terms like “ebikes for sale,” “ebike brands,” or “ebike dealers” will yield some great supplier results. We often recommend using transactional search terms with the words “buy,” “for sale,” or “purchase” for best results.

The Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) will give you a few pages of options depending on how popular the item is on search engines.
Go to the “Shopping” tab on Google to see items for sale, and then start browsing and investigating!
I particularly like the “Shopping” tab because it lists everyone who is selling the product on the left side of the screen. That will help you separate brands from resellers (we’ll talk more about resellers in just a bit).

As you scroll, identify some of the product brands you see. It might take some trial and error before you start recognizing brands, but you’ll get there!
In this step of your research, you’re looking for real brands because that’s what your customers will be looking for when they’re looking for your products.
Many brands will have a section of their website dedicated to “becoming a dealer” or “becoming a seller.”
When you find a brand you’re interested in selling, add it to your list of companies to contact. You’re going to add a number of brands to this list, so you can work with more than one USA dropshipping supplier in your business.

Now we need to figure out how to recognize resellers.
If it’s a bit trickier to identify, poke around their website. There are a few common traits of resellers that you’ll be able to spot quite easily.
Resellers often stock an extensive and wide range of brands and products. They might also lack branding or extra information – their sites tend to be more functional than pleasing.

And finally, keep an eye out for dropshipping terminology like “blindshipping,” “dropshipping,” “no minimum order,” “become a dealer,” or “reseller program.”
Why is it important to recognize resellers? It’s because you won’t reach out to these companies for direct dropshipping partnerships.
Finding resellers can be helpful during this stage of your market research, though, because it helps you understand your competitors and get more supplier ideas. Look at the brands that resellers are selling to get more ideas of companies you can reach out to. Add those brands to your list.
Once you’ve identified a few brands and made your list, contact those companies to connect. They’re usually happy to hear that someone wants to resell their quality products in a professional way – so don’t be intimidated!
We always recommend contacting the brands directly by either picking up the phone or, if there’s no number, trying the online form or email address.

On the phone, emphasize that you’d love to become a dealer for the brand and explain your value proposition.
Mention how you’ll add value by making a beautiful website that represents their product well, as well as doing content marketing and SEO to get all of the information out there.
Partner with as many brands as possible within your niche.

I could give you a whole spiel about learning anything and everything about a dropshipping supplier before you contact them, but in truth, the best way to find out what a supplier is like to work with is to actually sell their products.
This hands-on approach allows you to gauge their reliability in shipping and the responsiveness of their customer service firsthand.
That said, it’s not a bad idea to do some preliminary research and look at customer reviews before reaching out. You can identify any major red flags or consistent issues that might make you think twice about partnering with a particular supplier.
The proof is in the pudding. When doing your initial research, list all the brands willing to partner with you.
Once you start working with a supplier and selling their products, you’ll get a feel for their reliability, product quality, and business practices. You’ll also have clear sales data, and the market will tell you which brands are worth selling (and which aren’t).
This real-world experience is invaluable in determining which suppliers are worth sticking with for the long haul in your high ticket dropshipping journey. But initially, it’s a bit of a trial-and-error process.
Partnering with US-based suppliers for high ticket dropshipping can offer a lot of benefits that can streamline your operations and boost your bottom line. Let’s take a closer look at some of the key advantages.
One of the most significant benefits of working with US dropshipping suppliers is shorter shipping times. By keeping your supply chain within the same country as your customers, you can ensure faster delivery and improve your customer satisfaction.
Communicating with suppliers in the same time zone (and without language barriers) can also make problem-solving and day-to-day operations much smoother.
Operating within the same regulatory framework as your suppliers can simplify legal and tax compliance.
When you work with US-based suppliers for your high ticket dropshipping business, you can avoid the complexities of international trade laws and focus on growing your business with confidence.
Partnering with US dropshipping suppliers means you’ll be selling well-known, trusted brands that your customers are already familiar with.
This brand recognition can make sales easier, because you’ll be tapping into existing demand rather than trying to generate interest from scratch. Plus, you can rest assured that these products are made to the quality standards expected in your country.
To build a long-term high ticket dropshipping business, you must build strong relationships with your US suppliers.
Here are some advanced tips to help you build lasting partnerships.
When you first contact a supplier, your goal isn’t necessarily to negotiate terms right away. Many suppliers have pre-established terms for new dropshippers, but there may be room for discussion later, once you’ve built a relationship with the company.
In your first phone calls, your job is to present a win-win situation for the brand. Highlight your value proposition as a retailer in tune with your target audience. Let them know you’re committed to showcasing their products in the best possible light.
Approach the conversation from a place of mutual benefit rather than desperation. Convey your genuine enthusiasm for their products and your desire to feature them on your website.
The key is positioning yourself as a strategic partner who can help expand their reach and drive sales. This will naturally encourage suppliers to work more closely with you over time.
Remember, building strong supplier relationships is all about creating a win-win scenario. You don’t need to be afraid to make these phone calls! These brands aren’t doing you a favor by “letting” you sell their products in your online dropshipping store. When you make sales, they profit too!
Dealing with dropshipping suppliers can be tricky, but knowing common pitfalls can help you steer clear of potential issues.
One of the best ways to avoid counterfeit products is to do your due diligence, researching supplier reviews, and checking to see if other reputable resellers are offering the same products.
This is another advantage of partnering with US dropshipping suppliers producing high ticket, in-demand brands. They’ll be far less likely to sell fake goods.

While low ticket dropshipping may seem like an appealing short-term option (I know it’s everywhere these days), it comes with a truckload of risks and challenges. It’s just not worth it.
High ticket dropshipping, which focuses on products priced at $1000 or more, is a more lucrative path, and it comes with far fewer headaches.
With higher profit margins per sale, you can invest more resources to provide exceptional customer service and build brand loyalty.
Customers who purchase high ticket items are more discerning and they value quality over price. Treat them right, and they’ll bring you repeat business and referrals.
And if you follow the advice in this post, you’ll work with high-quality suppliers who ship great products that keep your customers consistently happy.
And there you have it – a comprehensive guide to finding the best dropshipping suppliers in the US! Follow these steps and keep the common pitfalls in mind, and you’ll be well on your way to building a successful high ticket dropshipping business.
